Barrington Beach Cleanup
October 26th, 2024
Join us at Barrington Beach on Saturday October 26th, 2024 from 5:15pm to 6:30pm for a beach clean-up and pizza. As part of the International Coastal Cleanup, we'll be removing trash while collecting important data for The Ocean Conservancy’s annual report on marine plastics. Afterward, enjoy pizza by the shore! Bring your friends and family and help protect our beaches. We will provide supplies!

President's Environmental Youth Award Ceremony

The BEE recieved a President's Environmental Youth award for its work, which the BEE founders went to recieve at Washington, DC. Thanks to everyone for their continued support!!
Poster Workshop
July 11th, 2024
We hosted a poster workshop at Barrington Public Library, where students created posters on environmental topics - specifically anti-littering.
Sapling Sale, 2024 Edition
April 26th, 2024
We had our 2024 sapling sale in collaboration with nonprofit Tree-Plenish, selling 176 saplings to our neighbors to offset local paper use.
East Bay Bike Path Cleanup
March 31, 2024
We hosted a cleanup of the East Bay Bike Path, picking up trash and debris, providing trash bags and pickers. Thanks to all who came out to help!
One Year Anniversary Celebration!

Dr. Manu DiLorenzo on El Nino

Dr. Manu DiLorenzo, professor of environmental science at Brown University, spoke on the topic of El Nino, its impacts on the environment, and advances in climate modeling.
Fall Volunteering Day @ BFS

BEE members went to volunteer at the Barrington Farm School, helping out with various farm projects. We also had snacks!
Pumpkin Decoration Workshop
October 10, 2023
Hosted a pumpkin decoration workshop at the Barrington Public Library, where students decorated pumpkins with environmentally friendly materials. Candy was provided!
Tote Bag Workshop

Hosted an art workshop at the Barrington Public Library supporting the use of resusable tote bags.
Movie Screening

Hosted a screening of the environment-focused movie "Happy Feet" at the Barrington Public Library.
Barrington Beach Cleanup

Environmental Art Workshop

An art workshop was held at the Barrington Public Library, where students created art pieces inspired by nature and climate change.
BHS Presentation on Student Volunteer Opportunities

In conjunction with the Barrington Land Conservation Trust, we launched a new volunteer opportunity for students - the Student Stewarship Team.
